Dear Friends:

We are thrilled with the outcome of the override vote!

To every volunteer who joined the committee, held a sign, made a phone call, sent an email, wrote a letter, talked to their friends and neighbors, hosted a lawn sign, or put a magnet on their car. Thank you.

To our elected and appointed town officials who spend countless hours talking with and listening to innumerable experts across many fields so that in the end, we have a plan that is thorough, smart, safe, fiscally prudent and actionable. Thank you.

And to these same people who brought their expertise and counsel to the table, who stood beside us over the last year and a half, who gave of their personal time, who attended community meeting after community meeting, who wrote letters, gave interviews, took phone calls from citizens – thank you.

To every voter who made it their business to get the facts, to ask the right questions, to come to a meeting and to ultimately vote yes, thank you, thank you, thank you.

The success of the override underscores the reason we called this campaign Together for Needham. Because in a time of difficult economic conditions, when our neighbors are struggling with the same pressures that are being felt across the state and the country, it took a true spirit of community and altruism to bring us together on behalf of this town treasure we call Newman.
