Inside the Newman Elementary School
In addition to the replacement of the HVAC system, other renovations are needed to extend the useful life of the building.
The Kitchen:
The kitchen has non-functioning and outdated equipment.

Obsolete electrical systems and flooring need replacement.

The kitchen has insufficient storage and food preparation space. Its size is insufficient to handle the current number of students who must use its services.

The Auditorium:
The auditorium is not only a vital space for the school, but is a valuable town-wide resource as well. And yet all the users of the auditorium must work with and around an unsafe catwalk, obsolete and non-functioning electrical equipment and lighting.

Nurse’s and Guidance Offices:
The nurse’s office is too small to provide any privacy for exams. In fact, unless there is a reconfiguration of the office area, with the changes mandated by ADA requirements, the nurse’s office would end up being smaller than the bathroom. The entire office area is too small, crowded, inefficient, and lacks sufficient workspace.
